Who we are:

Old School Martial Arts was founded in 2016 with the principles of loyalty, trust, and respect. Our instructors have a combined experience of 15+ years in the art of Hapkido. There is one rule we follow as a school: There are no rules. We do not fight for points or trophies; we will teach you how to survive in the real world. Additionally, you will find your physical and mental well-being improved.

Currently, we do not have a “youth” program as most of what we teach requires a high degree of discipline and self-control. Exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis for family enrollment, which need a minimum of one adult and child(ren) above the age of 12+.

What is Hapkido?

Hapkido is a martial art of Korean origin that has roots going back approximately 2,000 years. It is a comprehensive martial art whose fundamentals incorporate strikes, kicks, joint manipulation, pressure points, throws and weapons to defeat an attacker. In essence, these fundamentals allow people of all sizes and shapes to quickly gain an advantage in a situation where they have none.

Master Colleen

Master Colleen has practiced Hapkido for 10+ years under the WKF. Privately, she has trained under a 9th dan (grandmaster level) for over five years.  Additionally, she has trained in Korea under Grand Master In Sun Seo.

One master she trained with gave her the nick name “Mad Dog”. Don’t worry, it’s only a nickname…right?
